Microsoft Money

February 24th, 2008 at 10:24 pm

I usually keep track of our budget via excel, however, I downloaded Microsoft Money. So far, I feel like it's a lot of bells and whistles for nothing, but I'll give it a bit of time (I've got 60 days for my trial, ya know?) Any reviews out there? Mint.com isn't going to work with my bank information (it was free and I liked it's format--makes me sad). Let me know what you think, gurus of money management Smile

I been using MS Money since 99 and I have gotten so used to it tracking everything that I really can't rely on anything else. The only thing I don't like about is the reporting. Not very good reports to compare data So what i do is a transfer everything into Excel at the end of the month. Another down from Money is alot of stuff has to be inputed manually which i gotten used to it but its still a hassle. I hope MS moves into a mint.com format where it suggests most of the categories based on user inputs etc...

I use MS Money 2007 Deluxe + Excel for my reports..

I have used Excel for many years. When I tried to use Microsoft Money several years ago, I found it annoying since I had already fine-tuned my own spreadsheets to do what I wanted. I decided I'm happy with my spreadsheets and I'll stick with them.
