Slow, but steady

February 24th, 2013 at 01:46 pm

In the past four weeks, I have not once borrowed money from any type of creditor. There have been moments of panic and temptation, but no follow through. This is good. No, this is WONDERFUL. I requested a refund of insurance money for a policy sold with one of my loans and cashed that the other day. I have $50 in an emergency fund and am plugging away at my 52 week challenge. Deep breaths and affirmations are my mantra right now. I WILL do this.

Good on your for staying aware of spending and avoiding any additional debt. Having an emergency fund is an important step forward and I hope you can add to it next pay...$ 10. will help. If you're using coupons, try to add those savings a bit each time to build on what you already have.

You're busy but tracking daily spending is very helpful.

You can do it! There will be times when you get frustrated but stick to the game plan. I make a game of seeing how many No Spend days I can amass during the month and year. Review the money saving tips and links on this site. You will succeed!:-)

It is hard to change these financial patterns, but doing so will lead to your goals, and offer you insurance of a better future. Keep it up! Awesome work...
